Christmas starts at the Red Lion on 1st December and we already have several reservations for Christmas parties.

Book early to avoid disappointment. Parties up to 40 catered for.

Christmas Menu

Starters
Hot Bloody Mary Soup with homemade bread (v)
Stilton-stuffed mushrooms with cranberry relish (v)
Chicken liver pate with spicy apple chutney and toast
Thai crab cakes with chilli jelly
 
Main Course
Roast Turkey with all the trimmings: homemade stuffing, sausage wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes and cranberry sauce
Salmon en croute with watercress and tarragon butter, served with new potatoes
Spicy stuffed butternut squash with roast potatoes and vegetable gravy (v)
Braised beef steak in red wine with mushrooms and shallots, served with mashed potato
All meals served with a selection of seasonal vegetables
 
Desserts
Traditional Christmas pudding served with brandy cream
Dark chocolate and orange tart with homemade orange ice cream
Homemade pavlova with fruits of the forest
Local cheese platter with homemade oatcakes and chutney
Coffee and homemade petit fours
